It's funny what you talk about on rides. We had a lot of fun on the fountain's Audax on Sunday - not such much the usual, just a few friends enjoying beautiful surroundings. Then on an evening ride things went off in a whole other direction but still was a great ride.

Who knows what we all think when no-one else is around. It's crazy to see ordinary folks turned into some kind of idols for actually having the motivation to get off their arse and complete a task. It's always the quiet ones. It's not right, this need to have the world accept you based on your preferences.

Insider knowledge: we stopped and took in the view on the same bench that Chavenal is sitting on at the top of the Paterburg way back in October. I for one am looking forward to the new finish - can wait to see the Pro's big ringing up the same climbs we rode.
